Have You Met Bianna Golodryga?

If you're a vigilant student of the U.S. economy--or simply a regular watcher of ABC News' Good Morning America weekend edition--then there's a good chance you're at least familiar with her work. Bianna Golodryga is a business reporter and financial correspondent for the network, and her reporting style--honest, straightforward, intelligent, and accessible--has endeared her to viewers across the country.

Indeed, the voice of Bianna Golodryga has been one of reason and reassurance throughout some particularly rocky times. In fact, one of her earliest claims to fame was her experience producing live coverage of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. She has also provided extensive, consistent coverage of the housing and auto crises, the collapse of the banking industry, and the continued tumult in the economy. Bianna Golodryga was integral in shaping the use of social media in ABC's coverage of the 2008 elections, and she also covered the World Economic Forum in Switzerland. Bianna Golodryga has interviewed many of the biggest names in business.

Her career started out at CNBC, where Bianna Golodryga was initially hired as a bureau producer, covering the New York Stock Exchange. In 2006 she was given her first role in front of the camera, and her personality and uncompromising journalism garnered the attention of famous fans such as Diane Sawyer, who prompted ABC to recruit her. She joined the ABC News team in 2007 and has been an important part of it ever since. Her business reports have been a regular feature on Dateline and World News with Diane Sawyer, and she has been a popular substitute anchor for the morning show Good Morning America. Currently, Bianna Golodryga co-anchors the weekend edition of Good Morning America, along with Dan Harris.

Bianna Golodryga was born in the Soviet Union, in what is presently known as the Republic of Moldova. Her parents decided to settle in the Galveston, Texas area, and Bianna Golodryga eventually enrolled at Houston's renowned High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, an honor she shares with Beyonce, among others. Bianna Golodryga attended college at the University of Texas in Austin, where she majored in Eastern European and Eurasian Studies, with a minor in economics. Before her career in television, Bianna Golodryga worked in the financial services industry. In 2004 she was honored as one of the nation's top journalists under the age of 30.
