2012 Latest Music News: Madonna Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show

One great music news right now has finally been confirmed. Madonna will play at Super Bowl Half time show on February 5, 2012. This gig has been a rumor for 5 months until NFL confirmed on Sunday Night Live that Madonna will make a Super Bowl debut with her long time choreographer and creative director Jamie King.

The game will happen at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and is scheduled on the first Sunday of February and the halftime booking continues the trend of inviting the global superstars to perform in the biggest TV event of the year.

The Super Bowl has been hosted by some of the most famous personalities in Music, including Janet Jackson which was in 2004 where the wardrobe malfunction happened. The next performances were from Prince, the Rolling Stones, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, U2, Paul McCartney, and The Who. It is also reported that Madonna will perform with a creative team from Cirque de Soleil and multimedia artists from Moment Factory.

This event will happen two days before Madonna's English romantic drama movie "W.E." hits the theatres. Madonna is also said to release her as-yet-untitled 12th Studio album in 2012 and the first single will be released around the time of the Super Bowl.

Another music news that leaked just last month was that M.I.A and Nicki Minaj collaborated with Madonna on a song that was said to be entitled "Give Me All Your Love." Although the leak pleased some fans, Madonna and her camp was not that happy. Gary Oseary, Madonna's manager said in a tweet that they plan the new music to come out in the new year and was happy with the positive reaction to the demo, but very upset with whoever leaked the new song. Guy Oseary also asked the people to respect the process, while Madonna expressed her feelings thru Oseary about the leak saying that, "Madonna told me this morning "my true fans wouldn't do this." They both were asking the person behind it to stop doing it.
